New faces, ambitious dreams and a shared enthusiasm for learning marked the start of the 2026/2027 academic year at St. Louis University Institute on 5 October 2026.
The Institute welcomed new students in Health and Biomedical Sciences, Engineering and Technology, and Agriculture. Across the campuses, administrators and staff received freshers and introduced them to the academic community they will call home throughout their training.
Orientation sessions guided students through academic expectations, discipline and campus life, helping them understand their responsibilities and prepare for the journey ahead. These first exchanges laid the foundation for an academic year centred on learning, personal growth and professional development.
The welcome activities took place at the Ngousso, Ekoumdoum and Simbock campuses in Yaoundé, and the Bonaberi, Ndogpassi and Bonamoussadi campuses in Douala. Photographs from the campuses capture the excitement of these first moments as students settled into their classrooms and began forming new connections.
