Animal Production Technology

What is Aninmal Production?

Animal Production Technology is a rigorous and rewarding program at St. Louis University Institute, Cameroon. You are not just gaining knowledge; you are developing practical and entrepreneurial skills that prepare you for real-life agricultural challenges.

Animal production plays a critical role in food security, income generation, and rural development in Cameroon. It goes beyond raising animals, it involves efficient management, improved breeding, proper feeding, disease control, and sustainable farming practices.

Today’s animal production technologists are farm managers, livestock entrepreneurs, feed formulators, extension workers, and researchers. With the increasing demand for animal protein (meat, eggs, milk, fish), skilled professionals are highly needed to improve productivity and ensure safe, affordable food for the population.

Your training equips you to understand not only animals but also farming systems, business opportunities, and the link between agriculture and community development.
